CHARLOTTE LE LIEVRE SIGNS WITH CHEATIN’ HEARTS RECORDS AND RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘I’LL NEVER FORGET THE WORDS THAT YOU SHARED’ FROM HER FORTHCOMING SOPHOMORE ALBUM

July 31, 2026: Country-folk storyteller, Charlotte Le Lievre has announced that she has signed with respected country music label Cheatin' Hearts Records and is celebrating with the release of her new single, I'll Never Forget The Words That You Shared.  The track is the latest offering from her forthcoming sophomore album, Grief Knows No Borders, due for release in early 2027 via Cheatin' Hearts Records/ADA.

The announcement follows the release of Le Lievre's first two singles, Tamworth Lights and I Yearn To Love Someone, both of which received strong support from Community Radio across Australia and earned high-rotation airplay on ABC Country.

Of the signing, Luke Woods - Founder of Cheatin' Hearts Records - said: "We are thrilled to welcome Charlotte Le Lievre to the Cheatin' Hearts Records family! We're big fans of Charlotte’s heart-on-the-sleeve songwriting and timeless sound. From what we’ve heard of the new album, fans of traditional country are in for a treat from one of the best new voices in the genre.”

Co-written with acclaimed Texan songwriter Hayden Butler, I'll Never Forget The Words That You Shared reveals a different side of Le Lievre's artistry. Driven by infectious guitar hooks, soaring pedal steel and lush backing vocals, the track blends country and rock and roll influences into an uplifting and emotionally expansive sound, highlighting the breadth of musical references that shape Le Lievre's songwriting.

At its heart, the song is a tribute to Le Lievre's close friend, Newcastle musician Tommy 9 Fingers, who tragically passed away in 2014. Reflecting on their years living together in a rundown Newcastle share house, the song recalls the profound influence his songwriting had on her creative development. It also reflects on the last time they spent together and the gratitude Le Lievre feels knowing those final moments were filled with warmth, friendship, and mutual care.

"Tommy's songs had a profound impact on me and many people in our Newcastle music community," says Le Lievre. "His brilliant mind will forever be immortalised in his music, and his words are something we will always carry with us."

Produced by Le Lievre, the single was recorded live at Union Street Studio in Melbourne by Roger Bergodaz (Tex Perkins, Neil Murray, Freya Josephine Hollick). The recording features an accomplished lineup of Australian musicians, including Luke Byrnes (electric guitar), Jonothan Brown (bass), Roger Bergodaz (drums), Shane Reilly (pedal steel), Phoebe Elsworth (keys), and Grace Turner (backing vocals).

With I'll Never Forget The Words That You Shared, Le Lievre delivers a heartfelt reflection on friendship, memory, and the enduring power of song, offering another compelling glimpse into the emotional landscape of her sophomore album, Grief Knows No Borders.
