Peach PRC
Peach PRC and Salty live at Icecream Factory, Perth | 10 July 2026
Ice Cream Factory was packed full of young punters who were eager to catch Peach PRC’s Perth stop on her Wandering Spirit tour. With Sydney-based performer Salty opening as support, punters were treated to a night of fun, energetic, and deeply meaningful pop.
Walking into the venue involved being immediately greeted by a punter from the Peach PRC Fan Project. Who was handing out reflective pieces of card to be help during ‘Oasis’ (the second song played during PRC’s set). Other fans were provided with placards saying ‘you are magic’ in shining letters to also be held up. A reminder of PRC’s strong social media following online, and devoted fan following. Who endearingly refer to themselves as ‘Peach Pits’.
Female punters were dressed in a mixture of pale pink and botanical themed dress. With many sporting butterfly hair clips in bunched up ribbons of hair. Signifying PRC’s wider aesthetic shift to one that lay between the natural and spiritual worlds.
Esotericism aside, the pole dancing pole to be danced on was readily set up and tested by a member of the support crew. Which the crowd jeered jubilantly as a male member of the stage crew twirled around it a few times to check if it was safe.
The Sydneysider was a pop showstopper, and gave a great first impression for the Perth crowd. Announcing this was her first show to play in Perth. Salty was supported by her Dad, her two back dancers and a drummer. There was something noticeably homely about her set. But it was ambitiously physical, with the choreography mesmerizingly synchronized and Salty punching out ‘in-your-face' lyrics to an eager crowd.
Speaking with an Australian-American intonation. Salty presented a live persona which communicated laid-back Australiana coupled with cheeky Californian charisma. Playing several pop anthems that spoke about finding out who you were creatively, and challenges of doing so when young. Salty presented an incredibly fun show, and perfect opener for punters getting warmed up for Peach PRC.
Peach PRC’s set opened with a lot synthesized ambience which cascaded throughout the venue. Which was enveloped into a mesmerizing pink haze. It felt otherworldly to stand there in the crowd. With her backing dancers sporting costumes that screamed a botanical green. Peach marched onto the stage to cheers and applause, dressed thematically in a lace corset and skirt that heavily leaned into that otherworldly presence.
One thing that could be felt early on was Peach’s love and gratitude towards the crowd. Thanking many of the punters for coming out and making it. Acknowledging the currently tough economic climate punters had to face to attend live shows.
Equipped with a head microphone, it was a sign for a performance to come that would engagingly dynamic and physical. Coupled with mesmerizing displays that infused dance, alongside kinaesthetic movement and colour. Which Peach seamlessly blended with her own soulfully attuned vocals, colourful personality and style.
Some artists propagate a lot of their personal journeys into the live experience of their show. Integrating bits of their past selves into performance on the night and endearingly bringing along the crowd for the ride. Peach mastered this with a graceful poise and warmly self-deprecating humour. Laced with an energy that was eager to engage with what was around her and showcasing her main draw as a performer.
Be it acknowledging her previous career as a stripper. Mentioning a strained relationship with Mom previously fractured but now repaired. Or singing simply, joyous aspects of life like finding one’s own sexuality, identity, love, and ultimately human connection. Peach laced this personal commentary into a live performance that was deep and meaningful to her. Whether it was in the form of botanical themed motifs behind the stage, or on her own (and back dancer) costumes.
At one moment bringing out a plant named ‘Princettia’ who was bought from a local bunnings. Princettia was hooked up to some wires and helped ‘generate’ some synth sounds that Peach sung the ballad ‘Eucalyptus’ to. Letting a performance take bloom that was deep, and meaningful. With the punters all the more jubilant for it.
Finishing up with an ecstatic mash-up of ‘Blondes’, ‘Josh’ and ‘Like A Girl’. Peach, her dancers and backing musos ended the night in a haze of pink, bright flashing lights and punters raving to a new appreciation for plants, pop music and pole-dancing.
